Courtney Rosato

Courtney Rosato is neurodivergent woman diagnosed with AuDHD (Autism and ADHD). She has expertise and over a decade of experience in disability inclusion, education, and policy – and brings a unique blend of legal expertise, lived experience and specialised knowledge.

Courtney’s academic credentials includes a Bachelor of Law, postgraduate qualifications in Education, and a Master’s in Inclusion – complemented by full teacher registration in both Victoria and Western Australia.

Courtney relocated to WA in April 2024 and has since been driving inclusion and disability policy and organisational wide change at the City of Fremantle.

Throughout her career, Courtney has been working towards achieving excellence in inclusive education, policy, and leadership. Before relocating to WA Courtney was working for the Victoria Department of Education in the inclusive education space where the Victorian Government on a $1.6 billion to transform funding and support for students with disability in Victorian government schools.

Courtney also held various roles with the Victorian Department of Education, and lead the Disability Inclusion Reform roll out across Southeast Victoria.

Her previous role was focused on capacity building and supporting school, network, and corporate leaders to implement and embed inclusive change. This work required close collaboration with stakeholders to build capacity, provide leadership, and advance legislative reforms, significantly improving inclusive education practices and opportunities for students with disabilities.

Courtney’s work in education extends to teaching, curriculum and assessment development for inclusive education, ATAR business, and legal studies in addition to previously coordinated the Program for Students with a Disability.

Courtney is also passionate about promoting equity and justice through her commitment to changing the inclusion and diversity landscape, developing people, and motivating those around me to achieve remarkable things. Her education and legal background supply a unique insight into policy, operation, and governance in both private and public sectors.

Beyond Courtney’s professional roles, she actively contributes to advocacy for inclusion driven by personal lived experience and an ongoing commitment to systemic change. Her dedication to endurance sports, particularly athletics and triathlon exemplifies her resilience and resolve in breaking barriers and advocating for inclusivity.
