Ability Heroes LTD - Organisational Structure

A Board of up to seven Directors is responsible for the Governance of the Organisation. Directors are elected for a three-year term and can stand for re-election.

The Board elects the Chairperson and office bearers (Secretary, Treasurer).

Our Current Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee may have up to eighteen (18) members. Consisting of a cross-section of people with disabilities, seniors, carers, parents with young children, and representatives from government, support organisations, and industry. The Chairperson of the Advisory Committee will fill the seventh position as an appointed Board member with equal voting rights as elected Board members. In addition, two other committee members can be selected to join the Board as observers and non-voting board members.

The Committee advises on current issues and trends, availability or lack of public services, and community social issues.

Committee Members contribute to the organisation’s vibrancy and increase the pool of potential Board members.

Future paid positions:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Technical Officer (CTO), and Chief Financial Officer to be supported by paid and voluntary staff.

Our passionate and dedicated team has practical knowledge in business, education, and training and lived experience of disability, age, cultural, linguistic, and gender diversity.

Organisational Members

Our members are a vital component of the organisation. They are the Ability Heroes ambassadors, advisors, and scrutineers.

Membership is accessible to individuals who share our philosophy.

Membership entitles you to attend Annual General Meetings and nominate for a Board position.
